Rachel Peters thankful for support from PH fans
She received a massive outpouring of encouragement after the online voting for Miss Universe began earlier this week.
And now, Rachel Peters has thanked her many supporters, in an interview with ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe, starting her message of gratitude by saying that she's more inspired than ever to try and win the country's second crown in three years.
"It's a big deal to see everyone in the Philippines really campaigning not just for me, but for the name of the Philippines. ...I'm going to use that to help me on the night," she said.
She added: "I just want to say everybody, lahat po ng mga kababayan ko all around the world, maraming salamat po."
"You guys have been truly amazing. I'm so grateful for all the tweets, the shares, the love, the prayers. I definitely wouldn't be here if it weren't for all you."
She also reminded fans that there's still some time left to vote for her, with the poll closing on Saturday (Sunday Manila time).
The winner of the poll will earn an automatic place in the pageant's semifinals.
Several celebrities such as Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, and Maine Mendoza have already lent their voices to bolster Peters's chances in the pageant.
